CANDLE CARE

Our statement candles are primarily created for decorative purposes. If you decide to light them, please follow the candle care and safety instructions.

You can find additional safety instructions and ingredients for our scented candles in the respective product description.

FIRST USE

Let your candle burn for two to three hours the first time, or at least until the surface is completely liquid.

WICK CARE

SHORTENING THE WICK
For the next use: trim the wick to 5 mm before each use. This minimizes soot and black smoke emissions. A short wick also ensures that the wax is not consumed too quickly. A short wick can extend the life of the candle.

CENTER WICK
Make sure the wick maintains its central position. Push the wick back to the center of the candle if necessary while the wax is liquid. This allows the candle to burn evenly.

Our tip: Don't blow out the scented candle. Instead, use a candle snuffer to extinguish the flame.

USE A PLACE

Since natural waxes, such as rapeseed wax, tend to drip when burning, we recommend always placing your LEJA STUDIO candle on a fireproof surface.

MAXIMUM BURNING TIME

Do not let your candle burn for more than three hours at a time. Also, don't let the candle burn down to the last drop—a 1 cm wax rim on the bottom of the glass can prevent overheating. Do not relight the statement candles when the rim is 2 cm high.

We have summarized the candle care instructions for you again:

- Always burn candles on a non-flammable surface.

- Never let candles burn too close together or one below the other.

- When lighting a new candle, straighten the wick.

- Candles do not tolerate drafts. In drafts, candles begin to soot, drip, and burn on one side.

- If a candle is visibly sooting, carefully trim the wick while burning and extinguish it if necessary.

- If the wick is burning on one side, carefully bend it to the side. Never bend or break a solidified wick.

- Trim off any excessively high edges of a candle while it is still warm with a knife. For candles with decals or other decorations, trim the excess edge regularly.

- If possible, let the candles burn until the entire burner is liquid.

- Matchstick remnants, pieces of wick, or other foreign objects do not belong in the burner.

- To extinguish the wick, dip it into the liquid wax and then return it to its original position so that it is in the correct position for lighting.

In addition, you should observe the following safety instructions:

- Never leave candles unattended.

- Keep candles out of reach of children and animals.

- Do not light candles near flammable materials.

DISCLAIMER: Please note that failure to follow these instructions may result in inappropriate burning times, heat damage, injury, and fire hazards.
